I love Renaissance Faires. The first one I ever went to is the original, back in the early 70's. I didn't get to go very often, but it was always such an amazing immersive experience. Ultimately that Faire lost its original location to development and was moved into a big, flat city park. It just wasn't the same.

I just saw a trailer for Dark Shadows and I'm not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand they seem to have turned it into a comedy, which is bad. On the other hand it has Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter, which is usually good. I want to see this, but if it's bad, I think I will consider Mr. Burton to have jumped the shark.
